The goal of this very important day is to draw people's attention to the cruelty inherent in the live transport of animals bound for slaughter. At Animals' Angels, we'll be sharing a variety of reports and information which will illustrate the suffering - the absolutely needless suffering - that these animals endure for 28 hours at a time. Please join us in our Facebook and Twitter campaign to raise awareness nationwide!

UPDATE:
Thank you so much to everyone who joined us on this Day of Action! We greatly appreciate all of the comments, shares, and messages. The animals are better off for you having been involved. The photos we posted today, sadly, are from our actual investigations. We feel that awareness is the key to promoting the change these animals so desperately need and deserve. Though it is difficult to imagine how much worse it could be for these poor animals, without pictures and documentation to tell the animals’ tales, they would undoubtedly suffer even more at the hands of such people. The more we bring these atrocities into the light and out into the open, the less the violators can hide.
However, we can understand how being faced with such things can be distressing as it is indeed heartbreaking to witness. We truly hope for a day when animal cruelty and exploitation does not exist and investigations such as ours are no longer needed.
But until that much sought after day arrives, our investigators will remain ever diligent in the field – working on behalf of the animals, protecting them as best we can from those who mean to harm them, and we will continue to seek justice against the individuals and businesses who make their profit on the backs of sentient beings with no concern for the well-being of the animals in their care.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to our supporters and fellow advocates everywhere for their tireless efforts, not just for today, but for all you do every day for the animals. They need more people like YOU on their side.
