Investigators arrived at the auction at 9:00am. Many of the regular kill buyers and horse traders were already at the sale. Trucks of Bruce Rotz, Diamond K Ranch (NY), Brian Moore, Cedar Ridge Farms and Toby’s Livestock were observed. Toby Snook from Middleburg, PA has recently been observed trading horses at Unadilla Auction in NY as well as Sugarcreek Auction in OH. Snook, who has a history of criminal activity such as theft by deception, burglary, DUI and receiving of stolen property, seemed very friendly and familiar with several of the kill buyers. The Sexton Horse & Mule truck and boarded up single deck trailer from Sneedville, TN was seen for the first time at the New Holland sale. At the horse sale, the majority of the horses were in average condition. Two horses with eye infections were observed. Inside the sheep & goat barn, two sheep were found dead in the pens. Many of the pig and sheep pens had no water.
