Investigators arrived at the small horse auction at 6:35pm. There were about 30 horses in the outside pen area. Most pens had plastic water buckets. Several of the pens contained stallions which were extremely restless. There were several pregnant mares, one of them with a month old colt by her side. One horse had a cough. We observed no other illness or injuries. Many buyers were in attendance for the tack sale, which lasted well into the night. No tractor/trailers were observed on the premises.
