The investigators observed the feedlot from 12:00 pm until dark. There were approx. 75 to 80 horses inside the “pasture”, all visible had green USDA slaughter tags attached to them. One paint horse was observed with a small chest injury. All horses had access to hay and were in ok condition with the exception of three thin chestnuts and the one paint with the chest injury. Investigators waited to see if the horses would be loaded, but there was no activity that day. Animals’ Angels will continue to monitor the premises.
