Centennial Auction, CO 8/11/10

Date:
Wednesday, August 11, 2010 - 10:30
Investigation Category:

The auction on this date was very busy and consisted of 28 cattle, 1,327 goats, sheep, pigs and 14 horses. Of the 14 horses, several were emaciated, had bad hooves, and injured legs. Present at the auction were known “kill buyer” Charles Carter, who purchased 10 horses, two of which had bad legs and a known tripping rodeo buyer purchased a foal. The handling of the horses appeared satisfactory, but the handling of the sheep and goats was unacceptable, with auction workers moving the animals by pulling on their horns and ears. Animals’ Angels will continue to monitor this auction.
